Gold Coast homes, old and new
The North Shore's Gold Coast includes villages such as Old Westbury, Brookville, Muttontown, Mill Neck, Lattingtown, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay Cove, Sands Point and Lloyd Harbor. Homes range from early twentieth-century estates with stone and plaster walls to recent new builds on large wooded lots. Many properties include a pool house, guest cottage, garage apartment or stable, often hundreds of feet from the main house.
Older houses need careful routing. Many were wired long before modern networks, so cable paths that look obvious on a plan are often blocked by masonry, fire stops or earlier renovations. We survey attics, basements and existing chases before proposing anything, and use wireless Lutron keypads where opening plaster is not worth it. New construction allows a complete prewire and a proper equipment room.
Covering the whole property
On large lots, the network has to reach outbuildings, gates and gardens. We run fiber between buildings where distances require it, plan outdoor access points on structure, and place every underground run in conduit. Where lawns and plantings are established, trenchless underground wiring avoids digging up the landscape. Landscape lighting, outdoor audio and gate cameras and entry then share that infrastructure.
Services for Gold Coast homes
The New York team offers the same services as our South Florida team: home theaters, Crestron automation, Lutron lighting and shades, whole-home audio and networks. Our village guides, such as Old Westbury and Brookville, describe local planning in more detail.
