Fort Lauderdale homes and neighborhoods
Fort Lauderdale is a city of canals. In Las Olas Isles, Rio Vista, Harbor Beach, Coral Ridge and the Venetian-style streets off Las Olas Boulevard, many homes sit on the water with a dock and a boat out back. Along the beach and on Galt Ocean Mile, the homes are mostly condominium residences in towers. Each type needs a different plan.
On a canal-front house the outdoor areas matter as much as the interior: WiFi that reaches the dock without spilling across the water, outdoor audio for the pool deck chosen for salt air and sun, and cameras and gate entry covering the seawall, driveway and front door. Seawall and dock areas often need their own power planning, so we agree locations for outdoor outlets and equipment boxes with the electrician early. In a tower, the work is inside one unit and follows the association's rules on insurance, scope approval, elevator bookings and working hours.
Services for Fort Lauderdale homes
Our South Florida team offers the same services as our New York team: home theaters, Crestron automation, Lutron lighting and shades, whole-home audio, networks and security. Glare control usually comes early in Florida, because motorized shades affect how every room with glass is used.
Storm season is part of the design. We coordinate surge protection with the electrician, plan battery backup for the network, cameras and control processor, and choose outdoor equipment for the exposure of the site. That reduces risk and shortens recovery; it is not a promise that equipment will survive any storm.
Boats and homes on one plan
Because many owners keep a boat at the house, we often look at the dock network and the vessel together. Our marine and yacht AV work, including projects aboard Sanlorenzo yachts, is described on its own page.
