Lighting and shades first

Lutron is the most common system in our Glen Cove work. Lutron lighting control replaces banks of switches with a few engraved keypads and scenes for morning, evening and away, and makes it easy to turn everything off from the bedroom.

Homes facing the water get strong afternoon sun. Motorized shades on the same Lutron system lower on a schedule or with the scene, protecting floors and furniture and cutting glare on screens.

Wiring for renovation and new construction

Shades and keypads are far easier with planning. In renovations and new builds we prewire shade pockets, keypad locations, access points and camera positions while the walls are open, then test and document each run.

A wired network supports it all, and cameras cover entries and drive, recorded on the same network.

Yes. Battery-powered Lutron shades avoid new wiring. If walls are still open, though, wired shades are worth planning because they need no battery changes and integrate fully.

Usually one at each main entry and one by the bed in bedrooms. Well-planned scenes mean fewer controls, not more.

Yes. Condominium work needs building approval, insurance certificates and coordinated access, which we arrange with management before starting.
