Audio first
Picture quality gets attention, but audio decides whether a call works. We plan microphone coverage for the whole table, place loudspeakers so the room hears the far end evenly and use Biamp processing for echo cancellation and level control. The room is tuned after furniture and finishes are in, because a glass wall or a bare floor changes everything.
Teams, Zoom or a laptop
Rooms are configured for the platform the office already uses: a dedicated Microsoft Teams or Zoom room system for scheduled calls, a one-cable laptop connection for ad hoc meetings, or both. Conferencing equipment is wired to a certified network port rather than left on WiFi.
- Biamp audio with echo cancellation
- Camera framing for the full room
- Display sized for the depth of the room
- One-page guide and a handover walkthrough
Where this applies
Our office work includes a conference room for East Shore Marine and a conference room for Astro Masonry. See corporate offices for how rooms fit into the wider office, and structured cabling for the network beneath them.
