What we install
A Crestron system has three layers. Processors sit in the equipment rack and run the logic. Interfaces, including wall touch panels, engraved keypads, handheld remotes and the mobile app, are what the household touches. Integration modules connect the processor to everything else: Lutron lighting and shades, HVAC, audio and video distribution, cameras, door stations and locks.
We size and place those components around how each room is used, then write the programming ourselves. That last point matters more than any model number. The same hardware can feel effortless or frustrating depending on how scenes, timing and edge cases are handled.
Where it fits
Crestron makes the most sense where several systems need to work together: a Long Island estate with a pool house and guest cottage, a Hamptons home that needs to be monitored and prepared remotely, a Manhattan apartment where one discreet panel replaces a wall of controls, or a dedicated theater that should start with one button. It also extends to hospitality meeting rooms and yachts, where staff or crew need a consistent interface.
Full details on planning, interfaces and retrofits are on our Crestron home automation service page, and theater control is covered under home theater installation.
